Nezi Momodu is a Nigerian-born artist, who I first came across on a viral Facebook video. She was freestyling over Flava in Ya Ear by Craig Mack at a Texas Tech cypher. To say that she caught my attention is an understatement. She engulfed me. I played the 90 second clip at least six times over before stalking all her socials and finding her debut project, Seasons. Seasons is a 27-track album. That shows that can deliver on more than just a fire cypher. Let’s be honest, there is an underrepresentation of women in hip-hop, who reach mega stardom who can really rap. I truly believe that Nezi Momodu can fill that gap.
Nezi Momodu delivers with her flow, clarity and bars - she is the full package.
